Icelantic has come down from the mountains! Colorado grown ski
maker, Icelantic AT Boards has relocated its global headquarters
from Evergreen, CO to the heart of the Mile High City.
The new Icelantic headquarters will be a combination art gallery,
sales showroom, retail shop and offices and will be open for
business at the new location 948 W. 8th Ave (one block west of
Santa Fe's Art District) on Friday September 7th, 2007.
"We feel this move will allow us awesome exposure to the general
public as well as be a great addition to Denver's art (and ski)
scene." Says Icelantic founder Ben Anderson, 25 "There's a
great (and growing) market for originality in art - there's an
even bigger market for originality and innovation in the ski
Denver is a perfect spot for us to show people that we have what
they've been looking for. We're super pumped to get involved
with the community, share our art and skis with so many new
people and help local artists launch their art journey - we're
going to have some pretty phenomenal work in here that I think
will touch a lot of skiers and art lovers alike!"
The Icelantic Gallery combines the ski and art worlds in an
innovative, synergistic way. It will feature new exhibits
monthly from local artists as well as original art by
Icelantic's Head Artist Travis Parr, who has exhibited in
Space Gallery, Denver, Space Junk Gallery Grenoble France
The gallery will also feature the "Art of Ski Making" told in
detailed photos by Jeff Nass (Transworld Snowboarder,
Thrasher); a retail shop featuring Icelantic's current ski
line, apparel and prints of the skis original artwork; a show
room for interested dealers and, offices for Icelantic's
Since Icelantic was awarded the ISPO "Best Hardgood of the Year"
award in 2006 in Munich Germany, it has been pushing the limits
in the ski industry and in the art world and now has distribution
in 8 countries and over 60 US shops.
The Icelantic Gallery will open it's doors for Santa Fe Artwalk's
"First Friday" on Friday September 7th at 6pm.
There will be killer art, one-of-a kind skis, live entertainment
by local band "Paper Bird" and complimentary refreshments.
