Today is a big day.
If you're anything like me, then you can't wait
for this madness to be over.
No more attack ads, recorded phone messages
or excessive information on the candidates
personal lives - at least for the next four years.
With bad news and huge promises screaming at us
from every outlet, it is more important now than ever
to remember one thing:
YOU and only you are ultimately in control
of what happens with your life.
Take a moment to appreciate this fact,
and remind yourself and your friends of it.
Celebrate what you have and what you are greatful for
and thank the all mighty for the fact that
no matter who gets elected, you'll always have skiing.
And no one can take that away from you.
Icelantic is in the business of creating smiles
and pushing limits. We also like to help people.
Here are four tips on how to survive in todays world of bad news, crazy weather and shaky economics.
1. The economy. The best we can do
as individual citizens to prime the economy is to
invest in locally made goods and services.
We highly recommend the Shaman, http://www.icelanticboards.com/shaman - our revolutionary powder ski, made right here in Colorado,
complete with a two year warranty.
2. The Earth: Buy local, once again.
All Icelantic skis are made in Colorado at the
Never Summer Factory where our scrap rate is
less than 5% (un-heard of in any other ski factory).
PLUS, since our skis are made in Colorado and
70% of our customers live in the US (thank you!)
no enormous amount of energy and oil are spent
transporting our skis across from China.
Ben and Sam use a lot of their muscle -
but they're young and strong - it's good for them.

3.Health Care Costs. If you're worried about what
you're going to do about health care,
I would recommend finding yourself some climbing skins, strapping on your skis, finding a hill and increasing your heart rate for a good hour at least 3 times per week.
Do this for one month (before the snow at the resorts
gets worthy of your skiing) and I promise you that
health care will shift to the back of your mind.
Get Healthy, Save Money! Yeah!
4.Have Fun!! Laugh, eat good food, move your body
and engage your brain.
If you want some assistance, check out our new line up here: www.icelanticboards.com -
we've got some good times to dish out.
And we love spreadin it.
Remember, you're the boss.
One person isn't going to dictate how you
live your life.
You love skiing, I love skiing,
we live in a free country..... let's go!!
See you on the mountain,
p.s. Know someone who could use this sound advice?
Pass it along!
