The salty kiss of the sea air touched our lips before the wheels of the plane even began to flirt with the tarmac. Tahiti, the elusive destination long coveted for its adventure, enchanting beauty, and energy sat waiting for us to indulge in and explore. We had arrived. From the moment we placed our feet on the ground, Tahitian mana captured our souls. Tam, the owner of Tahiti Villa Rentals, met us with fresh leis of orchids and frangipani. From Papeete, Teahupoo and the interior jungle, our minds and bodies were overwhelmed with Mother Nature's sheer strength in Teahupoo and her succulent beauty as we attempted to experience every inch of the island. After taking a water taxi out to witness the power of professional surfers dropping into a 17 ft. swell, we headed towards the jungle to find a garden of green tropical jungles, Fautaua Falls and some of the most spectacular ridgelines known to earth.
