Chasing Spring Pow At Alta

I found myself sitting at my desk at Icelantic HQ in Denver on Thursday with plans to head to Utah over the weekend to do a demo in Park City to support the National Abilities Center (NAC) in conjuction with our friends at Cole Sport. Of course I went looking at the weather just to see what was in store for the weekend and as I did it became immediately apparent that I needed to head to the airport right away. It looked something like this 15 inches plus and I needed to swoop in and get a pow day at Alta because if you can do such a thing, that's what you do. Carpe Diem!!! . I made the 6:30 flight with a smile on my face and got to enjoy beautiful views all the way to Salt Lake City. It was awesome to descend into the Wasatch through the clouds at sunset over the Great Salt Lake. . flying-into-SLC . My homie Eric Rutishauser our Rocky Mountain sales rep swooped me up from the airport with a truck full of next year's skis and the next morning we made sure to be kicking it in the lift line before chairs opened to make party! Still snowing, spirits high! . Screen Shot 2014-03-30 at 6.26.01 PM Screen Shot 2014-03-30 at 6.23.35 PM . The sun popped around noon and we skied bluebird pow for the rest of the day. Here are some video clips from the day. . .
