Powder7 Launches Limited Edition Icelantic Ski In Collab With POW

Powder7 Ski Shop located down the street from us in Golden just celebrated their 10'th birthday and they're just getting better with age. We excited to announce the news that Powder7 just launched their own limited edition Icelantic Nomad 105 LITE in collaboration with Protect Our Winters, topsheet designed by Sarah Beabout.

Here's a sneak peak at Sarah's story about her in-depth process of creating the graphic. You can click here for the full story on Powder7's website!

We asked our friends at Powder7 a little bit about their recipe for success, what's new, and how they are evolving in this ever-changing industry. Here's what we learned:

"We have always prided ourselves on a unique one-on-one interaction between customers and our shop employees.  Especially in the world of eCommerce, it is important to us that people still have the expertise available by their local shop with the ease of ordering online.  As we like to say, Powder7 was built by skiers, for skiers.  We understand that the right equipment can make or break an experience and do our best to offer up specific recommendations.  Our in-store shopping experience is also continuing to grow this year with the addition of custom boot fitting and a wider array of brands, including Dalbello. As for tunes, mounts, and other shop services, we continue to stand out with our quick 24-hour turnaround time.  We know that when the snow comes, there’s no time to wait on a tune.

Taking care of the environment has always been a core value here at Powder7.  This year, we are taking it up a notch by donating as much as we can to Protect Our Winters.  Our most recent (and quite possibly the most exciting announcement of the month) has been a custom designed ski, hot off the press.  We collaborated with POW and Icelantic to offer a ski that has already been proven to deliver on the mountain (the Nomad 105 Lite), but now also gives back, tells a story, and--do we dare say--gives the famed Icey graphics a run for their money with a custom Powder7 graphic designed in house by our longtime employee Sarah Beabout.  Learn more about the design and ski here.

Another defining value at Powder7 is creating a happy environment for our employees.  From company retreats, to a fleet of shop skis, to ski pass reimbursement, we take care of our team here. And for that, we are excited to have made Outside Magazine’s list for the top 100 places to work. "
