Katrina Devore
Freeride
Katrina DeVore was born and raised in Aspen, Colorado where she was first put on skis at the ripe age of 2. She grew up exploring the Elk Mountains and fell deeply in love with all things outdoors. She raced for Aspen Valley Ski Club but when she was 11 her mother took her and her older brother to Chamonix, France for a year where she was exposed to off piste and big mountain skiing. Katrina decided to go back East for college in the hopes of playing Division 1 hockey at St. Lawrence University. She majored in Environmental Studies and was able to do two semesters abroad but was really missing skiing. After graduating she returned home to Aspen and tagged along to some Freeskiing competitions with her older brother. She competed on the circuit for 5 years with many top five and ten finishes. While she is no longer competing, she travels the world skiing, meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and enjoying this beautiful life.
Fun Facts
Katrina and her brother Nick Devore were invited by the Kingdom of Bhutan to come over and assess their potential for Helicopter Skiing. While it was determined that helicopter skiing would not be too viable in the Kingdom of Bhutan due to many factors, Katrina and Nick did get to be the first ones to fly over this particular zone of the Himalayas in Bhutan's first ever helicopter.
When Katrina is not skiing, she enjoys exploring her home state of Colorado and traveling around the world rock climbing, Mountain Biking, surfing, and enjoying the great outdoors.
