Travis started out his ski career by working at several ski hills in British Columbia. Working as a Ski Patroller instilled a passion for adventuring, therefore when he finished university himself, he became a college instructor in an Adventure Tourism program. This allowed him ample time to ski tour in the Rockies, both with students and on personal adventures. Highlights include touring Little Shovel Pass, Wapta Traverse and Roger’s Pass. Leaving his job at the university and moving to the Canmore area in 2014, Travis realized his lifelong dream of living where he plays while working as a technical rescue specialist. This allowed for even more personal adventures and ability to get into powder. Skiing at Sunshine Village regularly as a part of the Wild Terrain Freeriders (WTF) group allows him to fit in a run or two with his family at the end of the day.
